And Jesus cursed the fig tree

And Jesus cursed the fig tree

God's word is life, with His word He brought creation into existence. Man too is the only creature on earth who bears the image of God. Thus man also carries that same creative power of words as a part of him.

The human word has a creative power that sets up a motion which affects matter, he can use this power either to bless or to curse. Whichever way he chooses, he bears the full responsibility of the outcome. But men in their ignorance like to toy with this creative power as they do with everything that is given to them, thus bringing suffer upon themselves.

In their wicked desire to give this creative power a wrong direction, they often point out some verses in the scripture, the origin of which they do not know. As a shield for their wicked intentions, they present these biblical verses before themselves; "...and Jesus cursed the fig tree." Or "...and Noah cursed the Canaanites." If they are not satisfied with that, they still go further to quote "...and God cursed Adam." But the hidden motive behind all these quotations from the Bible is the desire to give vent to their anger against their fellow men.

Christ was sent down to earth as a gift of love from God, to show mankind the way to happiness through His words. But, to show their uselessness, men twisted His words and ascribed to Him the quality He never possessed. And even go far as to impute the same negative quality to God Himself.

Jesus never cursed any tree, nor did God ever cursed His own creatures. Those are few of the minor errors which found their way in the Bible. To lay curses on anything else with any reason is a sign of injustice, and God Himself is a perfection of justice. He does not possess such negative quality, as to curse His hand-work for any reason. You, also, on no reason should you lay curse on anybody or anything. You are given the power of word for you to use it only to bless, in so doing, you are also blessing yourself and your surroundings.

Has it not yet become clear to you that whatever you sent out comes back to you in tenfold? Are you not seeing the examples around you? Observe those who have the habit of laying curses and saying ill of others. Do you not see how wretched are their lives? It shows that a person whose habit is to curse, is himself cursed; sorrow will never depart from his house.

When your fellow man mistakenly steps on your shoe, bear it, for you yourself had at one time stepped on another's shoe, which you have already forgotten owing to your limited memory. Your best option is therefore to forgive, that is, to understand the weaknesses of your fellow man, with the realization that you yourself also carry your own weaknesses in different form. If you follow this advice you have peace wherever you go and you will no longer want to lay curse upon your neighbor simply because he offends you.
