Do you need to go to Church in order to be a good Christian

DO YOU NEED TO GO TO CHURCH IN ORDER TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN?

A true Christian is a person who lives his life according to the sense of Christ's teaching, as Christ Himself said.

Jesus Christ did not found a religion when He was on earth nor did He wished to find any. During His time, there were various religious sects who claimed to know God better than each other. Yet Jesus did not concern Himself with these religious bigots. But instead He choose His followers among simple people who were free from religious shackle.

His action towards religious leaders at that time shows too plainly that Christ did not wish to establish a religion here on earth, because he knew the dangerousness of religion on man's inner maturity. The fact that the religious leaders of that time felt themselves menaced by the teaching of Christ is enough to show that religion has no connection with God. They had to conspire and murder Him because the irksome truth He preached was a threat to their religious establishment. How do you think it would be different today with modern religious leaders if Christ were to comeback today in the form of man?

Go and research wherever you wish, you will find that it is always the leaders of the existing religion who persecute the messengers of God; what other prove do you want for you to realize that religion is established by men, not God.

Whenever a messenger is sent down to this earth to show mankind the truth about God, as soon as this messenger departs, men will immediately turn his teaching into a religion with the aim of exploiting weak minded people and gaining earthly powers. This is the case with the message of Jesus Christ, Buddha, Zoroaster, Muhammad and so many others throughout the history.

You do not need a religion to serve God. The best way to serve God is through your moral quality, through the love and respect you show to your neighbours. Your neighbours also include the animals, not only your fellow human beings. Treat them with understanding. By so doing, you are pleasing to God than a person who wastes his time indulging in flattering they called songs of praise. These foolish people have always acknowledged that obey is better than sacrifice, yet they still preferred to sacrifice their precious time in senseless flattering instead of obeying the golden rule, which its main purpose is to foster love and understanding.

Nor do you need to pray in a monastery in order to be heard by God. You have already been told by the great master that the best prayer is the one done in secret, for God who can answer your prayer is omnipresent. yet you still want to link prayers with your religion. Wrong.

What about keeping the Sabbath day? You may ask. There friend, you were not told to go to your religious buildings on the Sabbath days in order to sing your so called worship songs which does not reach your spirit, and afterwards to beg for forgiveness which, after you have been forgiven, you are sure to commit more sins during the intermediary six days, so that you still come back on the next Sabbath day to beg for another forgiveness. No. That is not what is meant.

The main purpose of the Sabbath day is to provide you with the time of rest. So that, with the seclusion of rest you may deeply reflect on the experiences of your past six days, and learn the lessons they taught you. In the process you mature. You can easily recall the experiences you had within the past six days, than much longer.

Let me repeat for the last time, you are demanded not to cause harm to your fellow creatures in pursuit of your personal desires, not to wallow in the morass of religion behind which you hid your selfishness. Do good, refrain from evil.
